Mass entertainer done right — knows exactly what audience it's for and delivers on every promise. The hero introduction sequence alone got the loudest reaction I've heard in a theatre in a while. Plot logic takes a backseat for most of the runtime, and honestly that's fine given what this film is trying to be. Comedy track works better than expected, mostly thanks to timing rather than the writing itself. Songs are placed a little awkwardly, interrupting scenes that were building genuine momentum. Villain's motivations are paper thin but nobody's here for nuanced antagonists. If you know what you're signing up for, this delivers exactly that.
