Disappointing, especially given the talent involved both in front of and behind the camera. The trailer promised a taut thriller and what we got was a meandering drama with occasional thriller elements. Pacing issues start almost immediately and never really resolve themselves. There are individual scenes — maybe three or four — that show flashes of what this could have been. The twist in the third act is telegraphed so early that it stops being a twist at all. Technical work is fine across the board, nothing to complain about there. Just wish the writing had matched the production values. Hard to recommend unless you're a completist for this director's filmography.
